Partnership with Trees for the Future
American Limousines is proud to announce a new partnership with Trees for the Future. Starting in January, for every reservation made at American Limousines, American Limousines will plant one tree through Trees for the Future. American Limousines estimates that it will plant roughly 1,100 trees per month.
About Trees for the Future
Since 1988, Trees for the Future has helped thousands of communities in Central America, Africa, and Asia improve their livelihoods and their environment by planting nearly 70 million trees. We calculate that these trees remove approximately one and a half million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere each year. We are also active locally, educating students and communities about global issues, our role in the environment, and energy efficiency. More information can be found at www.treesftf.org.
Three New Ford Flexes Added to Fleet
In order to meet the demand for comfort and luxury, as well as being environmentally friendly, American Limousines has added three Ford Flexes to their Fleet. These crossover SUVs can hold up to 7 passengers and get up to an amazing 27 mpg allowing Amercian Limousine to double their efficiency over standard SUVs.
Green Practices Already in Place
In addition, American Limousines currently has two Flex-Fuel vehicles in its fleet and uses bio-degradable cleaners at its on-site car wash to wash its vehicles. American Limousines also incorporates other green practices at its headquarters like using energy efficient light bulbs (compact fluorescent) and an advanced reservation system that significantly reduces the amount of paper used in the reservation process.
